Barbara Watkins has been selling real estate in Maryland for 30 years. Most of that time has been spent in Talbot County, making her an expert in the local market. She values continual education to help her better serve her clients, and has earned the GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and Associate Broker designations. She has also completed the National Trust for Historic Preservation course for marketing and selling historic homes, an important educational element in the Eastern Shore market, and is working on the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation and the RSPS (Resort & Second Home Property Specialist) designation.

Barbara is an Associate Broker with Benson & Mangold, an independent firm that carries more than 40 percent of the market share in the area. She is a member of the Mid Shore Board of Realtors, Anne Arundel Board of Realtors, Talbot County Chamber of Commerce, Dorchester Chamber of Commerce, the Talbot County YMCA, and the Academy Art Museum.

Barbara puts client care first when buying or selling property, which is why the majority of her business is repeat and referral business. Outside of her real estate business, Barbara enjoys a rewarding personal life; she has been married to Butch Watkins since 1973, with two grown children and two grandchildren. She also jogs three miles a day, and enjoys swimming, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
